CIPR and Share This Too support London Social Media Week 2013

One of the world’s most unique global platforms, Social Media Week, returns to London later this month, offering a look at the newest trends in social media and mobile technologies.

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and a selection of authors from the CIPR’s Share This Too publication will take the lead in three free events across the week, discussing everything from the future of public relations, digital health, to the use of social media by business leaders.

Running from Monday 23 September to Friday 27 September, this year’s theme is ‘Open & Connected’ and will explore openness in a connected and collaborative world.

The CIPR’s events kick off on Tuesday 24 September between 5pm and 6pm with a joint event hosted by Brunswick, featuring a panel of expert business leaders discussing ‘Leading from the front - The Social CEO’. On Wednesday 26 September, the Business & Entrepreneurship Hub at Bloomberg, London, will play host to an event on ‘The Next Stage of Digital Engagement: The Quantified Self’ from 11am to 12pm. This event will debate how the quantified self movement can apply the social web, apps and consumer technology to allow brands to engage with audiences and listen at a whole new level. This panel will be led by Drew Benvie, Founder of Battenhall and author in Share This Too, alongside experts in the field, including fellow Share This Too author, Steve Davies, Director at Ruder Finn UK, and author at Bionic.ly; David Clare, Digital Consultant at Hotwire and author at OneMoreLifeHack.com, and Dr Vinod Achan, Consultant Cardiologist at the Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
