The CEO of Energy UK has emphasised the strategic value of PR to business in an exclusive interview with the CIPR, as part of the Institute's #PRPays campaign.

Lawrence Slade praised the impact of public relations on organisational performance and urged business leaders to elevate the importance of strategic PR. "You've got to try and integrate the PR operation as much as possible into every part of the business" said Slade.

The interview also explores the role of PR in a crisis, as well as the impact of Brexit on stakeholder engagement for the energy industry.

The discussion is the second in a series of interviews with Chief Executives for the CIPR's #PRPays campaign, which aims to spotlight the benefits of strategic public relations amongst senior business leaders.
