Betty Dean FCIPR

It is with great sadness that the CIPR informs Members and Fellows of the passing of Betty Dean FCIPR.

Betty was Group Public Relations Officer for Unicorn Industries Ltd, a British Multinational, in the 1970s, before serving as a Marketing Manager for an American firm. She was a Board member for the Centre for Education Research and Practice.

She was the creator and course director for the PRCA’s Diploma in International Public Relations, which she taught at Watford Business School. She was also a visiting professor at the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy and taught at Syracuse University in London.

She was among the founding members of the Public Relations Educators Forum and also served as its convenor.
