Bob Leaf Hon FCIPR

The CIPR is sad to learn of the passing of Robert "Bob" Leaf Hon FCIPR, former international chairman of Burson-Marsteller.

In 2000 Bob was the first person to receive the CIPR’s Alan Campbell Award for outstanding contributions to international public relations.

His book 'The Art of Perception – Memoirs of a Life in PR', was published by Atlantic Books in 2012. It chronicles Bob's experience at Burson-Marsteller, as well as his work signing a partnership agreement with the Chinese government to establish the first official Chinese government PR firm, and his involvement in bringing PR to the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

In 2011 he was given the highest award by the top Journalism School in the US, the University of Missouri, for contributions to Journalism. He was also listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, Debrett’s People of Today, and the American Biographical Institute included him in their 2012 publication, Great Minds of the 21st Century.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and former colleagues at this difficult time.
