CIPR Fellow to discuss book at headline event

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations will next week be supporting CIPR Fellow Bob Leaf at an event to discuss his newly released book, The Art of Perception – Memoirs of a Life in PR.

Bob will be joined in conversation with former BBC news correspondent Clarence Mitchell, now Managing Director and Chair of the Public Affairs practice for Burson-Marsteller at their offices in London.

Bob was given the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ first award for contribution to international public relations and last year was given the highest award by the top Journalism School in the US, the University of Missouri, for contributions to Journalism. Bob is also listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, Debrett’s People of Today and the American Biographical Institute has included him in their 2012 publication, Great Minds of the 21st Century.

The Art of Perception, published this year by Atlantic Books, chronicles Bob's experience at Burson-Marsteller, as well as his previous work signing a partnership agreement with the Chinese government to establish the first official Chinese government PR firm, and his involvement in bringing PR to the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

The event will be held at Burson-Marsteller, London WC2 on 27 November from 6.30pm. Tickets cost £27.50 including VAT and all guests will receive a free copy of the book. Drinks and canapés will be provided.
