CIPR’s CAPSIG partners with Marketing in Construction Summit 2020

CAPSIG members will be able to benefit from an exclusive discount of over £100 to attend next year’s Marketing in Construction Summit.

A spin-off from UK Construction Week, the event will bring together PR and marketing specialists from across the sector to learn about the latest trends in built environment communications and network with their peers.

The one-day conference will take place at CentrEd at ExCeL London on 12th February 2020.

Speakers are starting to be announced, including a slot for CAPSIG Chair, Dan Gerrella. He will be presenting the CIPR’s “Crisis Management for Terrorist Related Events” guidance, which he co-authored alongside fellow CIPR members Sarah Pinch and Claire Spencer.

Dan Gerrella, Chair of CAPSIG
It’s great to be able to partner with an event targeted specifically at communicators in the property and construction sector.

It’s an opportunity to get together and discuss some of the major issues facing the industry and how communicators can play a role in solving them.

I’m looking forward to presenting the CIPR’s terror guidance as it is something that is extremely important to those working in the built environment, as physical assets and public spaces are often the target.

Owners and managers of spaces where large numbers of the public gather are at risk, including shopping malls, stadia and venues, hospitals, schools and universities, and cultural buildings. The same is true of infrastructure providers, such as communications, energy and transport hubs.

Anyone working within communications for these types of organisations will benefit from finding out more about the guidance at the event, including how to prepare, manage and recover from the crisis.
Dan Gerrella, Chair of CAPSIG

CIPR members interested in attending the event are entitled to an exclusive discount. Use code CIPR149 to book tickets for £149 +VAT (full price ticket is £275).
