The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) has today announced leading provider of PR software, Vocus, as the sponsor of the 2014 CIPR Excellence Awards category for ‘Best Use of Social Media’.
Vocus joins 2014 CIPR Excellence Awards headline sponsor, Precise, and category sponsors, ComRes, The Communication Directors' Forum, Croner, DWPub, FOX, Hiscox, Newspress, Specialist Speakers and USP Content.
With the shortlist for the CIPR Excellence Awards already announced, shortlisted entrants are now being put through their paces at face-to-face panel interviews. The winners will be announced at a glittering black-tie dinner at Old Billingsgate, London, on the evening of Tuesday 17 June.
Vocus is delighted to sponsor the Best Use of Social Media category at this year’s CIPR Excellence Awards. The PR industry is not immune to digital disruption and social media represents a significant change to the way things used to be done. Traditional media outlets no longer have the monopoly over mass communication and influence. If PR professionals and the organisations they represent are to remain effective they must adapt to this brave new world. As a leading provider of social media marketing and Public Relations technology, Vocus are best placed to support organisations moving their PR activities into the realm of social media and we look forward to rewarding excellence in this category.
The CIPR is currently seeking further sponsors for a range of categories including Best Technology Campaign, Outstanding Small Consultancy and Outstanding Young Communicator.
